She Liu 劉赦，a Contemporary Chinese Painter

She Liu 劉赦，is the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University and Fujian Normal University. He has won many awards.

In his works, images originating from nature are dissolved and reconstructed in water color and ink. The mountains in the distance, the banks and the bamboo trees nearby are all covered with large areas of light ink. The handwriting is soft and gentle, and the water vapor is steaming, which wonderfully conveys the relationship between light, shadow and space.

The painter's pursuit of impressionistic light and shadow effects has enriched the modern form of Chinese painting and brought us an unprecedented visual experience.
