The so-called Taoist Five Statues painted by Ma Lin depict the five sage kings Fuxi, Emperor Yao, Xia Yu, Shang Tang and King Wu of Zhou. Ma Lin (around 13th century AD), the son of court painter Ma Yuan, painted a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, flowers and birds, and was also good at figures. Most of his works were presented to kings for appreciation or awards.

马麟繪的所谓道统五像, 描绘伏羲、帝尧、夏禹、商汤和周武王五位圣君。
马麟(约西元13世纪),宫廷画家马远之子, 作画题材广泛,工山水、花鸟,也擅长人物。其作品多进呈君王供赏玩或颁赐用。
