Shizhen Li 李時珍 (1518-1593), a medical scientist in the Ming Dynasty.
Shizhen Li's "Compendium of Materia Medica 本草綱目", "A Study of the Eight Meridians of Strange Meridians", "Binghu Pulsology", "Illustration of the Five Internal Organs" and other medical books. The famous British biologist Darwin called it the "Encyclopedia of Ancient China".
